Deckhouse Siding Project

Deckhouse Siding Project

1" X 6" pine novelty siding was replaced in 1990. It was again replaced again in 2009 & 2010 thanks in part to funds granted by the Hudson River Improvement Fund of the Hudson River Foundation. Shipwrights Adrian Owen and Ian Montgomery did the carpentry while Kevin Mulkern and Bill Cutler and several others painted and stenciled the lettering. An Italian roof gutter system was installed in 2009 which will now protects the deckhouse siding and will greatly prolong its longevity. Working with Brooklyn's Mazzone Hardware, Benjamin Moore Paints donated primer, stain, paint and caulking. Red Hook's All-State Scaffolding company donated scaffolding.
